- is founded in 2018, in Portugal, as a supportive organization for the scientific and scholarly study of the human relationships with animals and the natural world.
Our mission is to serve the growing community of scholars, technicians, therapists and scientists working in the field of Anthrozoology, by regulating and promoting the exchange of knowledge and expertise within this.
When inter-species relationships work, they can provide terrific health and well-being benefits for both humans and animals. But when they fail, humans and animals alike can suffer. The Research Group in Anthrozoology uses a multidisciplinary approach to learn more about what makes our relationships with animals succeed—we then use our findings to make life better.
Using scientific knowledge to promote and celebrate the positive impact of the human relationships with animals and the natural world
